Details
Spencer Adam Leslie (born April 1966) is a qualified chartered accountant and co-founder of Dukelease Properties, where he serves as CFO. He has built key relationships with some of the UK's largest banks and high-net-worth equity providers.
Like his brother Richard, Spencer was appointed as a director of GolDev Woking Limited when it was incorporated in May 2018. He brought financial expertise to the joint venture that was intended to develop the Woking stadium site.
On 11 January 2021, Spencer Leslie was appointed and resigned as a director on the same day — the identical pattern as his brother Richard. This synchronised departure raises questions about the circumstances of Dukelease's exit from the project.
After the planning application was refused in June 2020, Spencer told the Woking News & Mail that 'no decision had been made on whether to launch an appeal, nor on Dukelease's involvement.' This contradicted Wayne Gold, who had told the same publication that Dukelease would no longer be involved.
