About this site
Woking Corruption is an independent website compiling publicly available information about Woking Borough Council’s debt, investment decisions and governance. It is not affiliated with a council or government body.
Sources and analysis
Material on this site draws on government and council publications, the Grant Thornton Public Interest Report, company filings, parliamentary records and news reporting. The source directory identifies the publications used.
Official reports and filings are primary records. News coverage and Wikipedia are secondary sources. The site’s comparisons and commentary are analysis; they should be read alongside the underlying records. An investigation or allegation is not a finding of guilt.
Dates and scope
Financial figures relate to the periods and sources stated. Debt, lending, asset values and estimated losses describe different measures and should not be added together without checking their definitions.
The Companies House analysis uses filings available in March 2026. The candidate and campaign pages are archives of the May 2026 election. Their descriptions of roles and positions should not be treated as a current directory.
Publication dates and analysis dates indicate the scope of the evidence. They do not imply that every claim has been rechecked against later records.
